Modern life is no longer possible without a digital environment. Digitalization opens up incredible new possibilities, but sometimes it just leaves us stunned. Sometimes it's easy to figure out, sometimes not so much.

If you feel that at some point technology stopped making life simpler and started making it harder, that there are too many subscriptions and you don't own anything, that commercialization has crossed every imaginable line, and that privacy has left the chat, then you're not alone. That's why our goal is to explain modern technology in plain language, look at progress from every angle, discuss the pros and cons, and grumble about how nothing is the way it should be. And most importantly, to find solutions to hard problems and ways out of confusing situations.

The journal is built around three sections: Digital, Physical, and Phygital, the one in between.

• In the Digital section, we'll dig into computer devices, software, services, and networks. We'll figure out what exists, what's missing, and what the alternatives could be.
• In the Physical section, we'll look for ways to express ourselves, communicate, and transform the world around us through technologies that exist in a physical form: film photography, zines, albums, cassettes, records, discs, letters, books, everything that doesn't stop existing when the screen is turned off.
• In the Phygital section, we'll see how these two worlds can coexist: how to digitize the physical world and give shape to digital ideas.

And in our spare time from nerding out technology, we'll talk about films that impressed us and share favorite music, inspiring pictures, stories, and quotes.
